Imagining a Revolution

Creating a musical legacy that touches many people's lives -- and influences a new generation of singer-songwriters -- is something to be admired. My slide show from the John Lennon memorial on December 8 at Strawberry Fields in Central Park is a testament to the power of a well-crafted song.

What Is Love?

Depending on who you ask, the answer to that question is either "a journey that knows no end" (DeBeers TV commercial) or a "crazy little thing" (Queen). At the other end of the spectrum are those who believe that "love stinks" (The J. Geils Band), while a few people -- most notably Joan Jett -- hate themselves for loving someone else.
This slide show captures businesses helping lovebirds (and the lovelorn) in New York pay homage to the heart on St. Valentine's Day. From chocolatiers and florists to nightclubs and restaurants, people young and old come together in the name of love.
